DUCATI Multistrada 1200 Review

Ducati has launched a Multistrada 1200; it’s a pretty good versatile motorcycle with impressive architecture. The sophisticated all new engine offers an outstanding performance with advanced technology are implemented. It gives you a comfortable riding position for rider. The DUCATI Multistrada offers a four riding modes, they are enduro, Urban, Sport and Touring. The enduro riding mode is mainly used for off road riding. The urban riding mode is used to ride in the street and it gives confidence to ride. The touring riding mode goes very smoother, and delivers the high power; it suits for long distance driving and its user friendly. The sports mode goes for maximum power of acceleration and this mode is used in track riding.

The feature of electronic package provides (DTC) Ducati’s Traction Control system, (RbW) Ride-by-Wire system, adjustable windscreen, new LED headlights and Bosch Brembo ABS 9ME braking system. The feature offers an instrumentation of Multifunction digital dashboard of two displays with white backlight, the main LCD displays the, speedometer, odometer, rev counter, gear indicator, clock, coolant temperature and fuel level. Circular LCD dot-matrix displays the trip computer, average fuel consumption, and current fuel consumption, and air temperature average speed, trip time, signaling alarms and errors detection. Parking and steering lock indicators and a Lights displays oil pressure, fuel warning, neutral N, turn signal, high beam, EOBD (diagnosis), DTC intervention and deterrent immobilizer. Headlight controls the auto switching-off during engine start and auto turning off after 60 seconds from Key-On without starting the engine.

It comes with a four valves, Testastretta 11°, L twin cylinder, dual spark, desmodromic, and liquid cooled engine with a displacement of 1198cc, the maximum power of 110.3kW 150hp @ 9250rpm and torque of 124.5 Nm 91.8 lb-ft @ 7,500 rpm. The common compression ratio is of 11.5:1, the fuel injection is of electronic fuel injection system with an elliptical throttle bodies. The exhaust system is stainless steel muffler with catalytic converter and two lambda probes and aluminum tail pipes. The six speed transmission gear box which control the flow of the engine. The primary drive is straight cut gears and with a ratio of 1.84:1, the final drive is Chain 5.30, front sprocket 15and rear sprocket 40. The clutch is of wet, light action and multiplated clutch with a hydraulic control, the self servo action on the drive with a slipper action on over ride.

The frame of the engine is made up of Tubular steel Trellis frame is very strong. The front suspension is Marzocchi 50mm fully adjustable usd forks, and the rear suspension is fully adjustable unit with a Remote spring preload adjustment and aluminium single-sided swingarm. The front wheel has a 10-spoke in light alloy 3.50 x 17 and wheel travel is 170mm (6.7in), and the rear wheel is 10-spoke light alloy 6.00 x 17 and wheel travel is 170mm (6.7in). The front tyre is made up of Pirelli Scorpion Trail 120/70 17, and the rear tyre is Pirelli Scorpion Trail 190/55 17. The braking system is of anti lock braking system, the front brake is semi-floating discs is radially mounted Brembo calipers with a  four-piston and two-pad and diameter of 320mm, the rear brake is two-piston floating caliper with a diameter of 245mm. the capacity of fuel tank is 20 liters.
