DUCATI has launched Streetfighter 848; it comes with an aggressive design, strong engine and perfect ports riding position for rider. The LCD displays the speed and rpm are displayed in the bar graph methods, the instruments display lap times, DTC status and level selected time, air temperature, coolant temperature, battery voltage, two trips and a ,Warning lights illuminate to neutral, high beam, turn signals, rev-limit, fuel reserve, low oil pressure, DTC intervention and scheduled maintenance. Low Fuel Indicator, Low Oil Indicator, Low Battery Indicator, Digital Fuel Gauge, Pillion Seat, Pillion Footrest and Stepped Seat are available option in the motorcycle.
It comes with a four valves, L twin cylinder, desmodromic, and liquid cooled engine with a displacement of 849cc, the maximum power of 97kW 132hp @ 10.000 rpm and torque of 93.5 Nm 69 lb-ft @ 9,500 rpm. The common compression ratio is of 13.2:1, the fuel injection is of Marelli electronic fuel injection and elliptical throttle bodies. The exhaust system is lightweight two-one-two system with catalytic converter and two lambda probes and twin stainless steel mufflers. The six speed transmission of gear box which control the flow of the engine. The primary drive is straight cut gears and with a ratio of 1.84:1, the final drive front sprocket 15 and rear sprocket 42. The clutch is of wet multiplate with hydraulic control.
The frame of the engine is made up of tubular steel Trellis frame in ALS 450. The front suspension is Marzocchi 43mm fully adjustable usd forks, and the rear suspension is progressive linkage with fully adjustable monoshock and aluminium single sided swingarm. The front wheel has a 10-spoke in light alloy 3.50 x 17 and wheel travel is 127mm (5in), and the rear wheel is Marchesini 10-spoke light alloy 5.50 x 17 and wheel travel is 127mm (5in). The front tyre is made up of Pirelli Diablo Corsa 120/70 ZR17, and the rear tyre Pirelli Diablo Corsa 180/60 ZR17. The braking system is of anti lock braking system, the front brake is semi-floating discs is radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M50 four-piston calipers ABS as standard equipment and diameter of 320mm, the rear brake is two-piston floating caliper ABS as standard equipment with a diameter of 245mm. the capacity of fuel tank is 16.5 liters.
